FORMAT DVD FOR DATA BACKUP WITHOUT USE OF InCd?
I use my DVD/RW drive as a hard disk so I can backup, retrieve, and erase data files, quickly and easily. Use "copy" and "drag and drop".
InCd does this just fine - except when it causes problems.
I have read on the Web that InCd is a causer of problems.
From time to time my InCd DVD when it is being accessed will "freeze" my system, and then the disk will become "read only".No data is lost, but I must REBOOT, transfer the info elsewhere, and then reformat it so that it becomes a R/W disk again. I keep my "InCd" updated.
What, if any, are other options to accompish my purpose?
System: XP, 1GB memory 60GB Hard Drive
Using Norton Premier System Works 2005
Thanks
Using windows explorer after you pop the dvd into the drive, just drag and drop the file you want to back up to the cd drive icon, you will be ack. near the clock that you have file ready to be burned, then click the drive icon and go to menu file and write these file to cd.
