well , you may tell us the problem first ., some data will go and other will stay " currpted ones , no use of them ? and about recover tool , here is the best and it is Free " open sourc" http://www.piriform.com/recuva ,, about the anti virs I recommanded norton or kaspersky and dont depend on free ones they will not give reel time protiction ,
I use a combination of AVG Free and Spybot Search and Destroy. One thing to note, do not trust anyone who is level 1 and is willing to put their email up just because you have a hot pic next to your profile. That person is probably a troll and has many email accounts so that they don’t care about putting one up.
Hi there,
Your data is gone, forever, if you format it. Data recovery does only works on deleted files.
Format is clearing your hard disk and fill it for a new system.
Save your important files to several DVD,CD or USB Flash Drives or your another Partition or Hard disk to safe your files.
Best Anti Virus? I don’t know about it. Anti virus are all different. Some have their own advantages and disadvantages. It’s depending on who use it. But anyways I don’t like norton.
Hope this helps.
Basically if you format a disk the actual data contained on it is not erased, only the part containing the files and folder structure existent on the disk. Still, if you copy new data after formatting it, the new data will be overwritten over the previously formatted files and then they will be almost impossible to recover.
There are specialized software programs that can help you recover files from formatted disks (especially useful if you accidentally format or delete pictures from your camera memory card - which works basically the same way a hard disk does) but all of these programs can successfully recover the data if no new data has been written on the hard disk.
A few examples of such programs are:
Glary Undelete - http://bstdownload.com/reviews/glary-undelete-1/
R-Undelete 4.0 - http://bstdownload.com/reviews/r-undelete-4/
P.S. As a general advice, before formatting you could try backing up at least the most important files you have on the hard disk so you will still be able to use them later. This can also be done with programs which you can get from the same website i provided links above.
And if you look a little better you might just find a free program you can use for the recovery and backup tasks
yes if you format your drive all date will be lost, if you tell me what the problem is with your computer i might be able to walk you though a few thign to fix it my email is Joshenya2u@yahoo.com, and the onyl anti virus i trust is "AVG free" it has proven its self time and time again…http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage
If you format any disk drive you will lose everything! That is why it is important to make backup discs!!!
Gone Forever…!
AVG Internet Security!
Don’t be panic if you accidentally reformat a disk that has useful data. Actually reformatting a disk does not erase the data on the disk, only the data on the address tables, so it means that your lost data can be rescued as long as your data is not overwritten.
I suffered a similar headache experience. At that time I searched an article which introduces how to rescue lost data from formatted partition and offers a step-by-step guidance with Wondershare Data Recovery
