hard disk become very slow, how to fix or data recovery
hi, my hard disk become very slow from yesterday.
I kinda think the firmware is corrupted.
It is accessible, however, it is super slow.
Do you know a easy fix way, or how to copy data to another disk, since it is so slow, copy is hardly doable.
thank you!
Try using the Disk error utility, If you use Windows..
Open up My computer, Right Click on C: Drive..then go to properties, and click on the tools tab. and it will open up a small windows asking if you want to Automatically repair disk errors, or if you wanna scan for and attempt for bad recovery of errors.
(dont go with that option, it goes through 4 Phases, and it takes a looong time) SO scan your computer with the "attempt for bad recovery of errors" once you do, it will tell you that you have to restart the Computer…are you using windows xp? this works on Windows xp, because i use that….
If you know how to detach you hard disk do so and have a copy made by a qualified computer technician…However I suppose the problem may be with a virus or a driver. Check and reinstall the operating system and drivers all one by one first before having the hard disk copied. You should normally have got the cds when you bought the computer.
