Is it necessary to have a external drive to backup with norton ghost 10.0 software?
I just purchased Norton Ghost 10.0 on ebay but my concern is if I need a external drive or can I backup using a data disk in my computer. Thanks

It can be done either way, but an external drive, or at the least a DVD drive is the best way
No, you can put the backup anywhere other than the drive you are backing up of course!
No, you can also do it on an additional internal drive.
BTW, I have found True Image to be much superior to Ghost
It won’t allow you top backup your drive to itself. But you can partition it, and backup to that partition.
