Is it possible to backup a remote server’s data onto media I have here at the office? If so, how?
I have a remote server who’s data I need to backup but I can’t make it to the server’s site everyday so I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way I can login remotely somehow and copy the data to the office where I am.
Are there any other ways to accomplish this?
You can install in your server the mozy client to do backup in the mozy servers. You need only a internet connection.
Use this link (with the code) to get 2 GB for free for backup:

To do backup for your local media you will need install in your local system a FTP server and in the remote server some automated FTP client to do the backup. Choose one with encryption allowed or your files will be transmited at the internet without any protection.
Install a FTP server maybe will not be a good idea as your local system can be subject of attack by hackers as a server will be running connected at the internet.
