Is there anyway to save or backup bookmarks on firefox?
Im getting a new laptop in about 3 - 4 days (depending on how much longer the shipping takes). I backed up all my important files, music and data. have backup disks for all my programs. now all my saved websites on firefox, is there a way to save them or back them up simply?
Yup, there sure is. Open up a Firefox window. Click on the “Bookmarks” menu and select “Manage Bookmarks…”. Click on the “File” menu and select “Export” in the window that pops up. Give your bookmarks whatever title you like and choose a location to save them, in the save window that comes up. Save this file on an external or email it to yourself.
Now you can open this file on any computer with a Web browser and click on the links to go to each bookmark, now that your bookmarks are saved as an HTML file. You can import them into your bookmarks once you get the new laptop.
yes, first click on the bookmarks tab in the top bar, then click organize bookmarks, on the top bar inside the orgainze bookmarks window it will say "import and backup", click it then it will prompt you to save it somewhere.
for importing its the same steps except press import instead of backup in the organize bookmarks window, then select the back up file
