I have a Compaq desktop that has been having some system instability problems and it has been getting progressively worse the past couple of months. After backing up my data I attempted a recovery process from the desktop which resulted in an error. Analysis of the hard drives showed no problems…including the partitioned drive. My latest attempt has been to use the provided recovery disks and try to do a complete re-install. After a couple of minutes I get a "non-system disk error" and the re-install stops.
What should I do? Any suggestions?
We recorded our wedding with a video recorder that took the little small dvd disks. but when we went to view it on the recorder, the screen said disk error. there was a prompt to repair the damage and we said yes but it said it couldnt repair the damage. we dont even have a clue how the thing could have been damaged to begin with. Does anyone know of an inexpensive data recovery service. we are hearing quotes of upwards of 0+.
