Im useing my recovery disk that I just made to load on my new hardrive that I just installed. Will any internet or personal data be transfered to the new hardrive?

Does any one know where I can get a recovery disk for my aced aspire or just a disk download to reinstall my softload… My laptop won’t boot up error bootmgr missing!! So I want to reinstall it clean. But i need to know were to download the data for free… thankyou

I’m confused about the whole recovery disk thing. i did the recovery without the disk but it said before that i wouldn’t lose any data files. what was the recovery disk supposed to be?
and after i did the recovery, the computer now says that the ntldr is compressed and i have to press control alt delete but it keeps on coming back. HELP!!!!

My HP laptop didn’t come with a recovery disk, and I’m suppose to create one. The most common blank CD are 700 MB in size. Is this enough data size to create a bootable recovery disk ?? Or do I need to go up to a DVD, which holds 8½ GB of data ??

Will a system recovery disk work on a computer that is totally nonresponsive and can’t get into safe mode. Also, does a system recovery disk mess with the data in my computer?

my computer is getting frozen, so i want to use the recovery disk to maybe reinstall windows or something similar. do i have to back up all my data in it? or does the disk do this without erasing my own data?

Can you get data back after you ran a recovery disk on your computer? Did not save anything on disk, but did on d:/

I guess I’ve been downloading a bit too much, because Windows Boot Manager gave the message that windows has failed to start. Since I dont have this disk, can I download the data needed onto a blank data disk and restart it? All my work is on there and I don’t have backups with me!
p.s,its a Lenovo. I was able to make a recovery disk but it wont run…is there something wrong with my drivers?

I DONT HAVE A RECOVERY DISK AND I DONT WANT TO LOOSE MY WINDOWS XP.

I only have one partition of my hard drive and all my data including windows is in it.

So please someone tell me how do i format my hard drive without a recovery disk but still keeping my Windows.

Just upgraded to W7 64bit alienware m17x,now the recovery disk partition in the laptop(default) needs to be formatted,why is that?
i have another back up data in external disk.

My old computer had a runshell.exe error and I ned a recovery disk but I had lost mine a long time ago…
It isnt my computer it is my friends old laptop. Mainly for programming since any of the other versions are so restricting.. Duh and dont post unless you have an answer. Or I will report you
